Paul Bauersfeld Co-Founder, President & CEO As president and CEO of Varsity Networks, Paul Bauersfeld co-founded the company with the goal of creating a service to help sports organizations reach higher levels of success through technology. Paul leads the company by providing vision and overseeing products, services and partnerships. Paul's expertise in technology and media businesses, combined with his experiences in sports as an athlete and local community member, has helped Varsity Networks evolve into a leading company that is reshaping the way sports organizations stay pace in the digital world. With more than 20 years of experience at fast-growing fortune 100 companies companies and startup companies, Mr. Bauersfeld brings extensive technology and media business expertise to Varsity Networks. Paul was formerly COO of Sigma Design Software. Paul's previous experience includes executive positions at Ziff-Davis and Viacom as well as senior engineering positions Apple Computer and Xerox Corporation. Paul lives in Westchester, NY with his wife and three children is actively involved in his local sports community at both the youth and high school level. |

Sean Trepeta Vice President Business Development Sean Trepeta is responsible for Varsity Networks’ revenue generation efforts, including developing strategic partnerships which expand both Varsity Networks’ revenues and installed base of sports communities, as well as driving and managing the company's sales force. Mr. Trepeta Co-founded OPEX Communications, Inc., a leading telecommunication service provider located in Chicago, specializing in traditional long-distance, wireless, and dedicated services through the Internet with $48 million sales annually. Prior to OPEX Mr. Trepeta was VP of Sales and Marketing for the US Buying Group, Inc responsible for developing a small business buying program which included value added services such as overnight shipping, office supplies, and computer software products as well as a full line of telecommunications services. Mr. Trepeta also developed and implemented the Agent and Carrier divisions of USBG and prior to joining USBG, was with MCI Telecommunications and NYNEX in New York City. Mr. Trepeta holds a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Cortland. |

Jed Weissberg Vice President, VP Product Development, Business Strategy & Marketing. Jed Weissberg is responsible for driving Varsity Networks' product design, business strategy and marketing. Jed Weissberg was formerly the Director of Business Development at Scholastic Media where he oversaw the development of new media businesses. He was founder and CEO of LetsPlay inc, an online game marketing company and Director of Original Content for Nickelodeon Online. He has worked with numerous media companies in creative and business capacities including The New York Times, ABC News, TheStreet.com and EdgarOnline. |

Penny Bauersfeld Co-Founder, Vice President, User Experience & Customer Support Penny Bauersfeld is responsible for driving Varsity Networks’ product design and manages the company's product support process. Penny serves as an advocate for Varsity Networks’ end users across its network, and analyzes future product trends and improvements to evaluate the best way to integrate Varsity Networks’ services with emerging technologies. Additionally, Penny leads the User Experience & Design group. Penny Bauersfeld was formerly a usability design consultant with 20 years of experience in user interface design. Ms. Bauersfeld has organized and taught seminars in usability design at organizations such as UCLA and Stanford University. Her clients include Apple Computer, Rand McNally, Scholastic, Time, Inc. and many other corporations and small businesses. She has held research positions at Apple Computer and Xerox Corporation. In 1994 she published Software by Design, a handbook on involving users throughout the software design process. She holds a BA from Brown University and an MS in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology. In her other life, she is an active soccer and football mom and community volunteer. |

Avi Weiss Vice President, Technical Operations & CTO Avi Weiss leads Varsity Networks' technical staff - managing the company's software development, system administration, network operations, quality engineering, as well as serving in the CTO and CIO functions. Avi is responsible for the backbone and infrastructure that provides Varsity Networks' service, including managing relationships for our data center, financial electronic gateway processors, and software development. Mr. Weiss has over 20 years experience in hi-tech research, product, and business development. Starting out doing research at MIT Lincoln Labs in machine intelligence, he later joined Apple computer's interactive TV effort, and subsequently worked on networking technologies for the Newton PDA. He was also a senior engineering manager at Phone.com, managing the platform interoperability lab, as well as driving key technology and business relationships with other market vendors such as Nokia, Ericsson, and Motorola. Mr. Weiss holds a BS in aerospace engineering and MS in electrical engineering from Boston University, and is a certified flight instructor for helicopters. |

Edward Chowdhury Director of Software Development & Architecture Mr. Chowdhury started his web development career in 1995 at Nickelodeon Online and brings close to 10 years of experience to Varsity Networks. His varied career has ranged from being a Lead Games Developer at an email gaming startup to running day to day technical operations at Nick.com, the highest trafficked kids site on the Internet. His work has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, and NY1 news. |
